Napless 1.2.0: Honest status, agent mode and more
Napless now checks that your Mac is really being kept awake, keeps AI coding agents running, and adds heat protection and managed settings.
Honest status and Check Health (Free)
An orange triangle in the Napless menu means keep-awake needs attention, and the line under Keep Awake names the
problem. Check Health… opens a list of every check Napless runs, with Fix where a repair exists.
napless doctor runs the same checks from Terminal, with --json for scripts.
Agent mode (Pro)
Napless installs hooks for Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor and Gemini CLI. Your Mac stays awake while an agent is
working on a turn. For any other tool, napless run -- <command> keeps the Mac awake until the command exits.
Keep Chat Apps Active (Pro)
An optional pointer nudge, off by default, keeps chat apps from marking you away while Napless keeps your Mac awake and you are idle.
While Time Machine Is Backing Up (Pro)
A new automatic condition keeps the Mac awake while a Time Machine backup runs.
Heat protection and activity-aware timers (Free)
Stop If Your Mac Gets Too Hot is on by default. Restart the Timer When I Use My Mac counts a timed session from the last time you used the Mac.
Managed settings for IT (Free)
Napless settings can be forced with a configuration profile. Forced settings show Managed by your organization.
